Our range of General and Intensive Courses offer something for everyone – whether you're looking for a short refresher course (10 or 20 lessons per week), or a longer, more intensive course (24, 25 or 30 lessons per week), TAS has the programme to suit your needs.

All our intensive courses follow the General 20 course in the morning (lessons 1–4). During the afternoon lessons (lessons 4–5) there are a range of electives to suit all levels, needs and interests. Intensive 20 and 25 afternoon lessons run twice weekly whereas Intensive 30 runs every afternoon.

Intensive 20 Lessons

  • 20 Lessons per week (4 lessons per day)
  • 1 lesson: 50 minutes
  • Hours per week: 16 hours 40 minutes
  • 15 students max. per class
  • Course length: 1-50 weeks

During the lessons you rapidly improve your communication skills in a variety of everyday situations. In 2 lessons each day you will cover the following areas: grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation. In a further 2 lessons you concentrate on: speaking, listening, reading, writing. You use a text book and a wide variety of materials and exercises including roleplays, authentic materials, newspapers and magazines.

Intensive 25 Lessons

  • 25 Lessons per week
  • Beginner to Advanced levels
  • Course length: 1-50 weeks
  • 1 lesson: 50 minutes
  • 2 days (6.5 lessons), 3 days (4 lessons)

Intensive 30 Lessons

  • 30 Lessons per week
  • 15 students maximum
  • Course length: 1-50 weeks
  • 1 lesson: 50 minutes
  • Hours per week: 25 hours

The TAS Intensive 30 course concentrates on all the areas that you need to achieve a much greater fluency in a short period of time. This course is suitable for students who wish to study intensively and get a well rounded insight into the language and country. Students on the TAS Intensive 30 course study the same lessons as described for General 20 in the morning. During the afternoon there are a range of electives to suit all levels, needs and interests.

International School Year (ISY)

  • 20 lessons per week
  • 1 lesson: 50 minutes
  • Beginner to upper intermediate levels
  • 15 students max. per class
  • Course length: 32 weeks
  • Hours per week: 16 hours and 40 min

The TAS International School Year programme is an excellent opportunity to learn a new language, immerse yourself in a new culture and make friends from all over the world. We design an individual course plan for you, based on your needs, current language level and the duration of your course. In most centres it will be possible to study examination courses and every ISY student receives regular academic counselling, and help with study skills and university placement. Students of Arabic or Japaese considering a career in business, may choose to study the Arabic or Japaese for Business Course as part of their ISY programme.

Summer Courses

  • 20 Lessons per week (4 lessons per day)
  • 1 lesson: 50 minutes
  • Hours per week: 16 hours 40 minutes
  • 15 students max. per class
  • Course length: 1-10 weeks (Student can chose)

A short summer program held during July through August. Grammar, and business Arabic classes are available. An optional activities such as sightseeing, culture experience, gourmet, etc are offered everyday to fully enjoy your summer in Jordan.

Private Lessons (at TAS or dispatch)

  • In order to meet your needs we offer flexibility in terms of the individual's course content, learning pace, textbooks, time and location. Course curriculums are deviated from and adjusted as needed in line with class progress, the student's requests and their proficiency.
